Objective 2-1: Use of genome-wide gene deletion approaches in Candida spp to identify the subset of fungal genes required for virulence in vitro and in vivo

Objective 2-2: Analyses of virulence of Candida spp deletion strains in vitro and in vivo using primary immune cells, mouse models and insect models, respectively

Objective 2-3: Study of signaling and sensing pathways in the pathogen using wild type, as well as deletion strains responding to host defence to identify components necessary and sufficient for invasion of host cells and tissues
