Dear Colleagues & Friends:

Several FEBS Advanced Lecture Courses and one Special Meeting established the tradition of the ABC Meetings in Austria. Now, ABC Meetings move to the next stage, and we proudly announce the 2nd FEBS Special Meeting on ABC Proteins, ABC2008, in Innsbruck Austria.

ABC2008 is made possible by FEBS, the Federation of the European Biochemical Societies. In addition, FEMS, the Federation of European Microbiological Societies is a generous Co-Sponsor. Further, major sponsors include Solvo Biotechnology, Joseph Steiner Cancer Research Foundation, PXE International and the CFF .

ABC2008 which shall cover all basic and applied aspects of ABC proteins, both in normal and cancer cells, as well as their important roles in genetic diseases as well as drug resistance phenomena in cancer or microbial systems.

Leading scientists from all over the world and representatives of major pharmaceutical companies will present and discuss latest news on ABC proteins operating in bacteria, fungi, plants, parasites and humans. We were able to commit numerous leading experts to participate, with many new faces attending as plenary speakers.

August 20, 2009 The website for FEBS-ABC2010, the 3rd FEBS Special Meeting on ABC Proteins - ABC2010, February 27 - March 5, 2010, Insbruck, Austria is now updated with more information on the scientific programme and invited speakers.

February 11, 2008 The notifications about the selected presentation type (Poster, Short Talk & Workshop Talk) have been sent by e-mail to all applicants. Please confirm the receipt and your acceptance via e-mail. If you did not receive such a letter please contact the organizers by e-mail since we have been having some problems with spam filters lately.
In addition, a detailed version of the programme as PDF is now available for download in the Scientific Programme section.

February 4, 2008 The maximum allowed size for a poster is 120cm height by 90cm width (=47 x 35 inches).

January 25, 2008 The meeting grant award status notifications have been e-mailed to all grant applicants . If you applied for a grant and did not receive such a letter please contact us by e-mail.
